St Alban’s Catholic Primary School Forming confident children, grounded in humility, bound by respect.

Subject Pages

At St Albans Catholic Primary School, our curriculum is designed to inspire a love of learning, nurture every child's God-given talents and prepare pupils for the opportunities and challenges of the future. Rooted in our Catholic faith and values, we aim to provide a broad, balanced and ambitious education that enables all children to flourish academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally.

We believe that every child is unique and created in the image and likeness of God. Our curriculum reflects this belief by offering rich and engaging learning experiences that develop knowledge, skills, creativity and character. Through carefully planned sequences of learning, children are encouraged to be curious, resilient and reflective learners who strive for excellence in all that they do.

From the earliest years through to Year 6, pupils are supported to build strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics whilst also developing a deep understanding and appreciation of subjects across the wider curriculum. Learning is enriched through visits, visitors, practical experiences, technology, outdoor learning and opportunities to serve both the local and wider community.

As a Catholic school, Religious Education is at the heart of our curriculum and underpins all aspects of school life. Through prayer, worship and living out Gospel values, we encourage our pupils to become compassionate, respectful and responsible citizens who make a positive difference in the world around them.

Our aim is that every child leaves St Albans as a confident, independent and lifelong learner, equipped with the knowledge, skills and values needed to succeed and contribute positively to society.

We invite you to explore the individual subject pages to discover more about the exciting learning opportunities available to our children and the journey they take throughout their time at St Albans Catholic Primary School.
