Governors' Bios

Mrs Stefania Deidda - Chair of governors

I grew up in Italy and now live in Cambridge with my family. Before moving to the UK I worked as a wedding and event planner, and I now run my own business as a colour analyst and personal stylist. I became a Foundation Governor at St Alban's in 2022 and I’am delighted to have been Chair of Governors since 2025. I am a mum of three: my eldest started secondary school this September and my two younger children are still at St Alban's. As Chair, I lead the governing body in supporting and challenging the school to provide the very best education for every child. As a parent, I know how important a good primary education is in giving children the strongest possible start, and this motivates my work as a governor. I really value my regular school visits and seeing teaching and learning in action, meeting with staff and hear directly from the children about their experiences. I am committed to making sure St Alban's continues to be a happy, caring place, rooted in its Catholic ethos, where every child can thrive and reach their potential. I also enjoy helping the PFA with their events. In my spare time I love baking, and every now and then I like to share my bakes with the staff, and in my spare time I love playing tennis. It is a real privilege to serve St Alban's and its wonderful community.
