At St Alban’s, we aim to inspire curiosity, confidence and a lifelong love of language learning.
Our Spanish curriculum is designed to develop pupils’ skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Through engaging and interactive lessons, children build their vocabulary and understanding of grammar, enabling them to communicate with increasing confidence and accuracy. They learn to express ideas, ask and answer questions, and understand spoken and written language in a range of meaningful contexts.
We foster enjoyment and confidence in language learning by providing opportunities for children to practise their language skills through songs, stories, games, conversations and cultural experiences. Lessons help pupils develop resilience, independence and the confidence to take risks as they learn and apply new language.
