St Alban’s Catholic Primary School Forming confident children, grounded in humility, bound by respect.

P.E. (Physical Education)

At St Alban’s, we provide a broad, balanced and inclusive PE curriculum.

Our curriculum provides opportunities for all pupils to develop fundamental movement skills, physical competence and confidence through a wide range of activities. These include games, gymnastics, dance, athletics, outdoor and adventurous activities, and swimming. As pupils progress through the school, they build their knowledge, skills and understanding, enabling them to participate successfully in increasingly challenging physical activities and competitive sport.

We aim to ensure that every child experiences success in PE, regardless of their starting point. Through high-quality teaching and inclusive practice, children develop key life skills such as leadership, communication, determination and teamwork. Participation in competitive sport and personal challenge helps pupils learn how to win with humility, lose with grace and celebrate the achievements of others.
